Join the River Ridge High School Cross Country Booster Club as we run/walk 22 laps around the RRHS track to celebrate the 22 beautiful years of Laken's life. Lace up your running shoes and grab your friends and family for the 22 for 22 run/walk event. All proceeds will be donated to the Laken Hope Foundation.  Whether you're an experienced runner or a casual walker looking to enjoy a beautiful day for a great cause, there's something for everyone at this event.  When: May 17th, 2024 Time: 6pm-10pm Location: River Ridge High School Track Event Highlights:

Race Options: Participants can choose between running or walking the 22 laps. They can complete the laps as an individual, or with a group and combine their laps. This flexibility allows people of all ages and fitness levels to participate in an activity Laken loved.
Family-Friendly Atmosphere: "22 for 22" is a family-friendly event, with music, food trucks and vendors ensuring that everyone can have a memorable and enjoyable experience.
Fundraising Opportunities: In addition to the registration fees ($25), participants are encouraged to buy t-shirts ($10) with their registration. If you cannot participate physically but still want to support the Laken Hope Foundation, you can choose to attend the event for a $5 fee, and participate in the vendors at the event. A portion of their profits will go to the Laken Hope Foundation as well. 
Community Spirit: This event is intended to bring together individuals and groups from the local community, fostering a sense of unity and solidarity as we run/walk to honor Laken's life.
Post Celebration: After crossing the finish line, participants can celebrate their accomplishments with refreshments, music, and camaraderie. It's a chance to relax, mingle with fellow participants, and celebrate Laken's life.
Beneficiary and Cause: Proceeds from the "22 for 22" event will go towards the Laken Hope Foundation. This foundation is held by Laken's family and will be donating the funds raised to organizations bringing awareness about women's safety, children's healthcare such as St. Jude, and creating a scholarship for nursing. Every step taken and every dollar raised will contribute to making a positive impact and creating meaningful change.

Registration Details:

Early registration is encouraged to secure your spot and a t-shirt in this uplifting and impactful event. Participants can register online through the RunSignUp website. Registration fees include a wrist band for entry onto the track, and access to all event activities and amenities. An event t-shirt is an additional $10. Please register by Friday, May 3rd if you want to guarantee yourself a t-shirt by event day. If you cannot attend the event and still want to donate to the cause, you may register as a virtual participant.
