Hometown CX p/b Grey Ghost Bicycles

Come join us for the Hometown CX in Glens Falls, NY! The course in Crandall Park will have a little something for every skill set. Sand, fields, high-speed turns, and tech sections, we've got it all. All the proceeds from the race will go to benefit the Grey Ghost NICA race program. This year we will have delicious prizes from our friends at Hick's Orchard!  

After your race, hang out and cheer. We have Common Roots Brewing joining us to serve beer. We will have breakfast sandwiches and burgers available for purchase too, with all proceeds going to the GGB NICA program, so grab some food and enjoy yourself!  

New for this season is the CBRCX Race Series p/b Common Roots Brewing & Unified Beerworks!  

Sign-in will open at 7:30 am and close 20 minutes prior to each field start. Day of registration available FOR A $10 LATE FEE ($55)!. PLEASE PRE-REGISTER! Staging will be by series rank then crossresults.com ranking for preregistered riders. If you want to race twice, you will receive a discount on your second race, so bring some zip-ties to rig that shifter and race it single speed!

The Relay Race

New this year will be a team relay race at lunchtime! The short version of the rules:

• The course will be shortened, and lap counts will be set at the start to target 30 minutes.

• Teams must be at least three riders, who must be registered for at least one other race during the day.

• If a team consists of at least one U15 rider, the first rider will start at the halfway point of the course (this doesn’t have to be the junior!).

• Teams will self-organize and register at the starting area before the relay (wear your number!)

Prizes are to be announced and will have epic shenanigans.

The CBRCX Series p/b Common Roots Brewing & Unified Beerworks

The CBRCX series is time-based, where the winner will be determined by the total time for all races. Standings are based on cumulative time. The maximum time deficit for individuals who start the race will be based on the winner’s raw time plus 6 minutes. The time for individuals who do not start will be the winner’s time plus 15 minutes.

Bonus seconds will be awarded on the first scored lap of 15, 10, and 5 seconds for the top 3 of each category. Bonus seconds will be applied after the time deficit (translation: if you win the holeshot then have a mishap, you’ll receive leader’s time + 6 minutes - 15 seconds).

Rules and Race Information

Registration/sign-in will open at 7:30 am and close 20 minutes before each field starts. The first row of staging will be by CBRCX series standing (except for Sunday at Uncle Sam), followed by crossresults.com ranking for preregistered riders and any day of registrants in order of registration.

Oh, and the fine print:

• No sleeveless jerseys, aero bars, or extensions.

• Mountain bikes allowed with bar ends removed.

• Riders must wear a CPSC-certified helmet.

• Racers must have either a USAC or UCI Racing License. One-day licenses are available online through USA Cycling for all fields.

• Cyclocross Racing Age is your age on December 31, *2024*

• Parents must sign a waiver for children under 18 to race.

From North/South: Take I87 to exit 19. Turn right onto Rt254/Quaker Rd, Turn Right onto Rt9/Glen st. The park will be about a mile down on the right.

From Vermont:  Once in NY take Rt4 to Hudson Falls, Take Rt254 West towards Queensbury/Glens Falls, Turn Left on Rt9/Glens St. The park will be about a mile down on the right.
