Run FASD: Give FASD a Seat at the Table

FASD United presents the dream of author, runner, and FASD self-advocate Rebecca Tillou. Run FASD encourages people with FASD, their allies, and supporters to make this invisible disability, visible. This virtual 5k can be completed at a walk, run, or roll in your own time, at your own pace.

Can't run or walk? You can still show up to connect with the FASD community at the start/finish lines. You can also donate to support FASD United.

How much does participating cost? Registration costs $10, with the option to add on a Tee Shirt and Finishers Medal for an additional cost. Run FASD is organized by FASD self-advocate and author, Rebecca Tillou and FASD United, the national advocacy organization for FASD. Some in-person events are free as an agreement between Race and Individual Event Organizers. Proceeds from registration and sales cover the costs of materials, shipping, staff time, and the 5K platform. Sponsorships allow us to keep these costs low. Donations benefit FASD United and participating FASD United Affiliate Organizations to spread awareness, acceptance, and support of individuals with FASD and prevent prenatal alcohol exposure.

No local event near you? Run FASD is a virtual 5k event that can happen at your own pace wherever you are. Team up with your friends and family in your neighborhood, or create an in-person race to welcome your local community into your event. How accessible is this event? We started Run FASD in response to COVID-19 so that our community can connect and get outside during an isolated time. We chose to keep the event virtual so people can participate from anywhere. Our in-person event options are community-created and we advise that those event organizers familiarize themselves with the course they chose and communicate restrictions to participants. 

From September 6th - 16th, 2024, we want you to Run FASD to give FASD a seat at the table.
