SAKOB Summer Series - Race 1

RIDES BEGIN 8:00AM

The Summer Series is held at McAllister Park.  The course infield (Start/Finish) will be in the open field between the dog park and the bike pump track.  

The Summer Series is a four ride series to test your fitness and work on your handling skills.  Each ride will have it's own unique features and challenges, and a theme representing a segment of McAllister MTB trails.  All proceeds raised by these rides goes to San Antonio Kids on Bikes (a 501c3 organization) to support our mission of getting more kids on bikes.

Race start times will be published on the SAKOB facebook page by noon on Saturday before each ride (6/7, 6/29, 7/27, 8/17).  Participants starting time will be based on previous finish times of the current year series.  Race 1 will be based on age categories.  First Time and Day of Registration Riders will be placed at the end of the Adult riders. Course Distance:  7+ miles   (3-5 miles for Kids 12 and under)

Pickup for Plates and Timing Chips begin at 7am on event day.  Course route will be revealed on the SAKOB facebook page the week of the event.

NOTE: McAllister Park trails are open to the public and we can not close or impede trail users.  We ask participants to pass in a courteous, safe manner, and to call out "on left" or "on right".  Course will be marked with course tape, arrows and flour laid on the ground.

Ride Cost:

Registration: Adults - $35 donation
                              Under 18 - $25 donation

NOTE: 12 and under riders can request funding assistance via email (sakidsonbikes@gmail.com)

Onsite - Late Registration: Adult - $50 donation

                                                         Under 18 - $35 donation
Onsite registration ends at 8am sharp!

Series pass:

All 4 rides for Adults - $120 donation

All 4 rides for youth under 18 - $80 donation

Prizes: We will be giving out raffle tickets for all registered participants. Top 3 in all categories will receive additional tickets to increase odds of winning.  Only one winning raffle prize per participant.
