More than 3,300 runners completed the course around Riva del Garda.
Jean Baptiste Simukeka came in a close third at 1:05:16.
For the women, it was Judit Varga (1:15:56) taking the top spot.
Giovanna Epis earned runner-up honors with a time of 1:16:37.
In a tight race for third, Karin Freitag (1:18:36) was able to fend off Felicity Milton (1:18:46).
