The Reggio Emilia Marathon stands out from other events due to the thoughtfulness and consideration given to all participants. It was a really well organized event. We had horrible weather conditions on the day of the marathon and yet all the organizers were doing such a great job offering us such amazing service and help.

Jean Baptiste Simukeka grinded past more than 2457 runners to win in 02:17:08. He bested Youness Zitouni who crossed the finish line one minute 45 seconds behind him. Ahmed Nasef (02:20:01) made notched third place.
For the women, Alemu Maru Tsehay finished first in 02:29:59 , followed by Nikolina Sustic who finished with a time of 02:42:34. The third place went to Laura Biagetti with a time of 02:50:48
