About the event
The Wild Irish Run, renowned as one of Alabama’s oldest 10K races, offers a fast, scenic route along Lake Guntersville with rolling hills and all-paved surfaces. Sanctioned by the Road Runners Club of America and USATF, it delivers a memorable run through downtown Guntersville. Due to growing interest, a certified 5K course was added, joining the traditional 10K. Hosted by the City of Guntersville Recreation Department, the top male and female finishers are awarded trophies and medals, with age division medals available. T-shirts and race packet goodies are provided, ensuring an engaging start to your endurance racing experience.
