We are excited to announce that the $5k 5K is now brought to you by RunStrong! Don’t worry- our friends at Runable will still be around! May's $5 5K will benefit Shower Power! Shower Power has been providing a free shower to anyone who needs it in downtown Jackson since 2019. Their mission is “to bring hospitality to the streets by delivering hygiene services to people experiencing homelessness. It's about taking time to show people that you care and restoring dignity by providing resources needed for self-care.” You can learn more about them at showerpower.ms.
For those of you new to the event, grab $5 and some friends and come walk or run a no pressure 5K (3.1 miles)! ALL PROCEEDS will go straight to Shower Power! For seasoned $5 5K-ers, note the new location, day and time- Saturday morning, May 4, at 8 am at RunStrong HQ. Stick around after the 5K for a delicious pancake breakfast for $10, also benefitting Shower Power.
