Brutiful Cape: Gravel & Fat bike

Check out the Ride Page for complete details of this awesome and very special Gravel or Fat Bike day of cycling! This is a special opportunity to get in fun miles on your gravel bike or fat bike in a really beautiful place with others who are interested in the same. Your registration to this event assumes you have read the Ride Page completely to understand everything about this ride.

Start times that you see on registration are all approximate. We will roll out groups of friends, groups we assemble, and solo riders separately. You'll get an email with exact rollout times by 7pm Thursday evening prior to the ride.

Bikepackers: this is a great test bed for packing your gravel or fat bike for bikepacking so you can see what works and what's an optimal setup. We discuss a nice campsite where you can camp not far from the ride start on the Ride Page.

The Cape is full of dirt roads and trails which are the foundation of this full day of really great riding. Gravel bikes will enjoy the routes very much! Fat bikes get to enjoy some beach riding in addition to the same fun dirt roads and trails as the gravel bikes. All routes will have some pavement and minimal traffic.

100 Mile Fat Bike Option - There is a 100-mile Fat Bike ride happening the following day. If you're interested in this, be sure you're a NEER member (no charge for the ride as long as you're a NEER member). Details of this ride are on that ride's page.

Rain/event cancellation: This ride runs rain or shine since it's very sandy, drains well and we don't expect there to be issues with trails being harmed by bike tires. Should there be a weather event that we deem unsafe to riders or the planet, we will cancel and offer a partial credit to a future ride for registrants based on sunk expenses.
