Norway Triathlon

The Norway Triathlon is an exciting sprint triathlon sanctioned by the United States Triathlon (USAT) that takes place in Norway. Participants will swim 750 meters in a triangular course starting from Pennesseewassee Park beach area, followed by a 12.4-mile (20 km) bike ride and a 3.1-mile (5 km) run through the scenic Ashton neighborhood, finishing back at Pennesseewassee Park. Individuals can compete in all three legs, or join a relay team with 2 or 3 competitors.This event supports the Western Foothills Land Trust (WFLT), which conserves over 8,000 acres of land in the greater Oxford Hills area, providing over 34 miles of recreational trails for public use at seven preserves. Nearby Shepard’s Farm Preserve and Roberts Farm Preserves offer additional outdoor activities like Nordic trails, mountain biking, hiking, and more.

Participants must be 18 years or older, and relays can have 2 or 3 competitors. Race packet pick-up will be available the day before the event and on race day morning. The race starts at 8:00 AM, with participants advised to arrive between 6:15 AM and 7:30 AM for setup. Volunteers are welcome and can sign up by emailing info@wfltmaine.org.
