Run for the Gold 5K - Peachtree City, GA

It's time to Run for the Gold!! Grab your family and friends and go for a 1 Mile/5K run/walk with us Friday, April 19, 2024! 

Last year’s fun run, 5k, and family fun night was a huge success! Much of that success came from generous sponsors who contributed to the annual fundraiser. We hope this year’s race and family fun night will be an even bigger success! The race will be held at Oak Grove Elementary School on Friday, April 19. The one-mile fun run will begin at 6:00 pm, followed by the 5k at 6:15. 

Our new annual night time race and family night includes music, food trucks, and more! The success of this event relies heavily on the support of sponsors in the community and friends of Oak Grove, like you. Funds from last year’s race provided subs for our teachers to participate in professional learning, the salaries for our two incredible intervention specialists, Leader in Me opportunities for staff and students, as well as other initiatives that impacted student learning and engagement. We hope to continue those initiatives this year and provide more resources, programs, equipment, and learning opportunities for teachers and students.

SCHEDULE EVENTS ON RACE DAY - April 19, 2024

Warm-up starts at 5:45 PM.1 Mile Race begins at 6:00 PM.The 5K Race will start at 6:15PM

Race numbers and T-shirts for Oak Grove families will be sent home with students the day of the race. All other participants can pick up race packets on race day.  For more information you may visit our website at www.oges.org.

Your participation in this race will support our teachers and teacher programs. During the registration process, you'll be able to designate the teacher(s) you want to honor. The teachers and staff do so much for us every day! Let's get out there and run/walk a 5K for them. 

Here’s how it works:

1.) Register and pay $25 to run/walk/crawl the 1 Mile or 5K distance. The live race will occur Friday, April 19, 2024. Registrations made AFTER March 31st will not receive a shirt. They will sell out.

** Price Per Person is $25 / Max of $100 per household. Please fill out a paper registration if you have a family larger than 4 people. Click here to download registration form. ** 

2.) Please tag us in any social media posts at #RFTG2024 - we want to see all your smiling faces!

We live in a wonderful city. Peachtree City is full of wooded paths, nature preserves, parks, and lakes. Let's use this as an excuse to go outside and enjoy our community! Register today, and let's celebrate our school and run/walk virtually together!
