UWSP Homecoming

This event is being hosted by the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point Doctor of Physical Therapy Students (Registered UWSP Student Organization), partnered with the UWSP Homecoming Committee. Join us on a scenic race, routing through Schmeeckle Reserve in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Run the 5K competitively or walk at your own pace and enjoy the outdoors. Proceeds from the event will be donated toward the Marquette Challenge to help raise money for Physical Therapy research, with the hopes of advancing the ability of physical therapists nationwide to better assist those in need. Additional proceeds will help our students seek professional development and service opportunities in the local community and nationwide. Additionally, this 5K brings Pointer Pride during the 2024 Homecoming Week to welcome UWSP students and alumni, family, faculty, and community members to show support for our beloved city! After completion of the race, visit our local sponsor tables at the race start/finish line (also active before race), partake in Homecoming festivities (https://www.uwsp.edu/student-homecoming-events/), and cheer on the UWSP Football Team at Goerke Field, with kickoff at 1:00pm as they take on UW-Stout (Homecoming & Spud Bowl Game). The 2024 UWSP Homecoming theme is: Where Dawgs Become Gods. Donations accepted online and at event. In the event of race cancellation there is a no refund policy. Event participant limit: 200

Day of Event Itinerary (Saturday, October 5th, 2024)

Registration Booth Opens & Social: 9:00am 
National Anthem & Race Start: 10:00am 
Social: As participants finish 
Race & Social Ends: 11:30am 

With each registration, you will receive a free shirt (if registered before 11:59pm CST, Wednesday, September 18th, 2024) when you check in prior to the race on October 5th, 2024. Please include the size of the shirt you would like when you register. Shirts will also be available for purchase at the event for a price of $20.00 (limited quantity).
