Course highlights

Seville Half Marathon, the flattest in Europe Our circuit has few unevenness and a very small number of turns, characteristics that make it very fast, offering a great opportunity to improve times. Good weather The Sevillian winter usually provides between 9 and 13 degrees of temperature during the course of the test. The rain does not usually appear, the average rainfall in January is 65mm/m². All this suggests a pleasant time for sports practice. Debut in the distance and prepare the marathon The coincidence of a large part of the circuit, and the date of the celebration, make the Seville Half Marathon an ideal opportunity to debut in the distance and prepare the assault on the Zurich Seville Marathon that will be held three weeks later.

Beautiful city but one of the worst runs I have experienced. Men urinating everywhere, through fences towards spectators, on cars and at the side of the road. The amount of pushing, barging through people and spitting was just awful. Then the final nail in the coffin for this run was the rubbish thrown on the side of the roads, I have never seen anything like it. Including unnecessarily foil blankets, which people had opened and then discarded straight away. For a city which its own aquarium is highlighting plastic waste, it was disgraceful and I felt ashamed to be a runner.

One not to miss ..First half marathon abroad .. all went smooth .. very well organizedf .. nice location .. could not have been better for me ..

Amdework Walelegn won the race with a time of 01:00:28. Oqbe Kibrom Ruesom secured second in this year’s race with a time of 01:01:01. Benjamin Choquert (01:02:20) made notched third place. For the women, it was Betsy Saina who took the top spot in 01:08:25 . She finished 17 seconds ahead of Alina Reh. Rounding out the top three was Deborah Schöneborn with a time of 01:09:41. Eyob Faniel outpaced more then 9453 runners to win in 01:00:44, followed by Kasahy Atsebha Kasa who finished with a time of 01:00:46. Agunafr Bekele (01:01:35) made notched third place. In the ladies race, Izabela Trzaskalska won the race with a time of 01:11:09 . She bested Marta Galimany Guasch who crossed the finish line 4 secondes behind her.
