SUPERHERO 1K & 5K and NEW THIS YEAR-10K for those heroes who can go the distance!

The Attic is hosting this fun run for the entire community!  Dress up as your favorite SUPERHERO and help us celebrate all the heroes of our community who help with the foster crisis. 

Race Beneficiary:

The Attic Foster Network is an organization that helps children in the foster system every day.  We provide resources including beds, car seats, clothing, diapers, and school supplies for vulnerable children and families in our community.  

In the Permian Basin, almost 90% of children placed in foster care will be moved away from their home county because of a lack of foster homes.  The needs are great, and The Attic is working to engage the community with the crisis. In 2023, The Attic provided services for 1633 children in the Permian Basin.  We expect that number to be even greater in 2024. 

RACE PERKS:  All participants of the 5K who register by September 1, 2024 will receive a SuperHero Run Shirt and other goodies! SHIRTS NOT GUARANTEED FOR REGISTRATIONS AFTER 9/1/2024.

START TIME:

September 21, 2024     8:00 a.m. All events start and finish at: First Baptist Church Midland (Cuthbert Parking Lot) 2104 W. Louisiana Midland, TX 79701  

AID STATIONS:  We will have one aid station on the 5K route and 2 on the 10K.  Water will be available at the start & finish line as well.

Runners can pick up their packets at these locations:

Friday, September 20  1:00pm-5:00pm  Midland Athletic Company-3326 N Midkiff Rd Midland TX 79705   Saturday, September 24 7:15 a.m.-7:45 a.m. at the race location   PARKING: Please use the other First Baptist Church parking lots for parking.

Strollers & Leashed Dogs are welcome! We just ask that you start in the back of the start line. Local leash laws apply.
