About the event

On the island of Vestmannaeyjar (Westman Islands) just off the coast of Iceland, the 20km trail race is a one-of-a-kind event. Participants can choose to run the entire 20km course solo or join a team of two or four people and divide the distance between them. The course provides stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean as it winds along the coastline, mostly on wild trails close to the sea with a few stretches on roads with little to no traffic.

Literally the most amazing race I’ve ever run! You run 20km surrounded by the sea, volcanos, mountains. You run through the sand, grass, route: amazing trail! Last edition was very sunny! Apart from that, it is a great atmosphere. You spend some time drinking beers at the end of the race, discussing with other runners! Magnus created the race in 2018 (if I remember well) and will make sure every participant enjoys its time there!

20km represents the tour of the island, it’s perfect to enjoy the view and the beautiful landscapes!
