Race across the Safe Harbor Trestle Bridge.  Built in 1905, standing 140 feet high and stretching 1,560 feet over the Conestoga River, the Safe Harbor Trestle Bridge is one of the longest, highest bridge structures in Lancaster County.

For the sake of your safety, enjoyment and the longevity of race we have a number of rules that must be observed by all participants.

The Race Director reserves the right to:

Deny entry to the event to any competitor at their sole discretion. if you are denied entry you will receive a refund.
Disqualify an entrant for a violation of the rules. If you are disqualified you will not receive any type of refund 

MEDIA / PRESS - If you plan to attend The Trestle Bridge 10K and Kids Race as a Press or Media Participant or use any footage professionally and/or through public distribution please contact the Race Director

WHEN: Saturday, October 19Th 10AM (EST)

WHERE:  Safe Harbor Park  USE THIS ADDRESS FOR PARKING:   1 Powerhouse Rd  Conestoga, PA 17516

INFORMATION: 

The race will take place on the Enola Low Grade Rail Trail.  The course will be open to the public, however they must yield to a runner on the course.

 

BIB PICK UP - RACE DAY REGISTRATION AVAILABLE

Will be at the Safe Harbor Park near the Trestle Bridge. Opens at 8:30AM - 9:15AM   PICK UP WILL CLOSE PROMPTLY AT 9:15 AM

10K PARTICIPANTS:

The 10K Race starts at 10AM from the Turkey Hill/ Enola Low Grade parking area.  All participants for the 10K will be bussed from Safe Harbor to the start of the race at the Turkey Hill/Enola Low Grade or may drive separate.  BIB PICK UP IS ONLY AT SAFE HARBOR.  RACE DAY REGISTRATION AVAILABLE

***BUSES WILL DEPART AT 9:30AM SHARP*** The buses are one way only do not leave valuables on the bus.

Runners will depart the busses and be briefed at the start.  Runners will race from the Start to the finish line which will be across the Safe Harbor Trestle Bridge.

AID STATIONS:  There will be an aid station at the finish line and an aid station with water at about the halfway mark.

10K Race starts at 10am  AGES 12 and up.

***Buses will depart for the start line at 9:30AM***

  Kids Race Starts at 10:30AM  AGES 12 and under

Awards Ceremony will follow.

KIDS RUN:

For ages 12 and under. The Kids Run will start from the dam side of the bridge and finish on the other side approx 1,560 feet. just over a quarter of a mile. So doable by all ages.  

PLEASE NOTE: to get from the bridge to the parking lot you will be suing a newly created stone path that was built. 

*****This path IS NOT handicap accessible as there are stairs near the middle of the trail.*****

RACE AFTERPARTY:

After the race there will be snacks and beverages. 

AWARDS:

KIDS RACE - All Kids will receive a Finishers Award

10K - All participants will receive a Tech Shirt available in Unisex sizing. CUTOFF FOR A SHIRT IS SEPTEMBER 30TH

Awards will be given to the Overall Male and Female finishers and the top three Male and top three Female in the follow age categories.

There is a strict NO LITTERING policy for this race.  If you are caught littering you will be immediately disqualified from the race. WE DO NOT AND WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY MISCONDUCT OR ANY MISTREATMENT TO ANY OF OUR RUNNERS AND OR RACE VOLUNTEERS.  PLEASE BE SURE YOU READ ALL THE INFORMATION REGARDING DATES AND TIMES.
