Walk, Run & Roll “Celebrating Inclusion”

NFHF Walk Run & Roll 5k/10k & 1 MILE FUN RUN September 16, 2023, at 7:00 am - 11:00am Cate Square Park, 279 N. Oak St. Hammond, LA   10K, 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run Community Festival, is to bring the community together to celebrate our children and adults with disabilities, special abilities, and special needs. It is a day where friends, families, businesses, and other community members can come together to learn, teach, discuss, play, and enjoy a day of activities and exercise that will bring awareness of our extraordinary family members that thrive off of the involvement of their community and surroundings. It is a day to celebrate as a family and as a community.    Event Details:  Fhfnorthshore.org 6:00 am - 6:45 am Race Day registration and packet pickup 7:00-8:30am - 10K *No Walkers - Timed Event 7:00-8:30am - 5K *Walkers allowed - Timed Event

    To adhere to local government and law enforcement rules, time limits will be enforced.

9:00-9:30am - 1 Mile Kids Fun run/roll - Timed Event

    To adhere to local government and law enforcement rules, time limits will be enforced.

9:15 - 10K & 5K Awards 9:45 - 1 Mile Fun Run Awards 7:00-10:30am- Fun & Games for kids & families, Food & Drink Tents, Photos, DJ music.

*Strollers & running/racing chairs are allowed, but please keep in mind that part of the course is on the sidewalks around Southeastern Louisiana University, and please be mindful of surroundings and other participants.

*Dogs and support animals are allowed, however must be leashed and please bring your personal "pooper scoopers" & plastic bags to dispose of waste while at the park and along the course.

 

TO KEEP COSTS AFFORDABLE, T-SHIRTS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN REGISTRATION FEES.  ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL HAVE AN OPTION OF PURCHASING A T-SHIRT OR RUN VISOR BEFORE THE FINAL CHECK OUT.
